Answers about how RipeRoster's queue, stages and outcomes work. If something below doesn't cover it, write in below.
How does the Roster decide what's on top?
Order comes from two things: an item's current stage and how many days it's spent in that stage. The item closest to Past, and longest in its stage, sits at the top of the queue. The card above the list, Eat first, names what's closest to the front.
Why doesn't a stage move by itself overnight?
RipeRoster never guesses ripeness for you. The five stages — Firm, Turning, Ready, Soft, Past — only move when you tap Advance on an item, ideally the day you actually look at it and notice a change. The app only tracks how many days it's been sitting in its current stage.
What's the difference between the four outcomes?
Eaten, Shared and Composted all count as saves toward your rescue rate. Tossed is the only outcome counted as a loss, and it's also the only one that ends an active Run streak.
How do I start or reset a Run?
Open Run from the side panel, pick a target of 7, 14 or 30 days, and the ring tracks days in a row with no tossed item. Tapping End run stops the current streak; a fresh Tossed outcome also ends it automatically.
How do I remove everything RipeRoster has stored?
Open Settings, choose Erase all data, then type ERASE in capital letters to confirm. This clears every item, outcome, habit entry and run from the device right away and can't be undone.
